What's New?

I've been away from the blog for like two weeks!!! That's never happened before... The great trifecta (Rue's teething, Holidays & Hunting Season) is keeping me maxed out. There is never not a time when I don't have a baby in my arms, in my sling, on my chest, pulling my hair... HALP Mommas... What works for teething? We're doing essential oils but I feel like she could use more relief. She's nursing for comfort a lot more often and she's started biting. So I'm terrified about that... She slept through the night 3 times and I wish I'd have relaxed more on those nights because she quickly gave that up and is now waking up three times a night instead of two! I'm guessing its a growth spurt. We started Rice Cereal and she's basically a pro with the spoon. She's such a joy! I'm so excited for her first Christmas. This one is really more for the parents than the kid I think... I bought her this activity center for Christmas and never wrapped it. So she got it early! She's loving it and so am I. I'm really impressed with it so far!

Gemma's mental capacity is EXPLODING which means she asks me why this or why that seven million times a day and if she was funny before she's downright hilarious now. I keep forgetting to write down all of the things she's saying which I could kick myself for. She was so excited to go and choose a Christmas Tree. I love seeing her get excited about all of these things now that she understands them a little more...

 

We came home and she had so much fun decorating the tree. She's also mesmerized by the whole gift wrapping process. She finds small things around the house and asks if she can wrap them, then she gives them to me to open... She's so my kid. There is no magic like Christmas magic.
