This weekend Brandon came home and we were on a mission. I made reservations for Gemma to see Santa and really talked it up the whole weekend. I was so hoping she wouldn't be terrified and she'd actually get to talk to him. Because of the reservations we were taken right to the front of the line and only had to wait for two other little ones to have their turn with Santa. Not bad! Really recommend reservations! While in line she started screaming HI SANTA! Merry Christmas Santa!! I was elated, obviously. I was just as excited to see him as she was. He was so nice and patient with her. She walked right up to him and grabbed his hand and they walked to his big chair together. She was a little nervous when she sat in his lap and blurted out I want an iPad! (she means a LeapPad!) He laughed, it was adorable. I was so proud of her.
We did A LOT of christmas shopping and now I never want to go shopping again. Although it is so much more fun to buy for other people, especially kids. I bought copious amounts of candy for our stockings and we spent the rest of the weekend at home. We're getting excited for Christmas Morning! I can't wait to see Gemma's face when she sees that she got a present just from SANTA! I plan to use different wrapping than all of the other gifts because well... It came from the North Pole obviously. She's really getting into the whole concept. Which is basically my life goal.
Even though it doesn't even remotely feel like December we're trying to keep the spirit alive with Christmas Music and Hot Chocolate but man is it hard to do when it's 75 degrees outside! I just turn the A/C down to 68 and we drink our Hot Chocolate under a blanket... Total and complete trickery. Oh well!
See you guys on Thursday!
XOXO
Miranda
