Baby Wish List

Brandon and I only ever planned to have one baby. Three kids is a lot. And I love kids. After we had Gemma we purged a lot of our baby items as we didn't use or need them anymore. Instead of putting them in a box in the attic we sold things or donated them.  Which probably just sealed the surprise baby deal.

So in honor of having to acquire all new baby things I put together my baby registry/baby wish list to share with you. It's funny when it is your second baby that you have so much more input on certain products like diaper bags and bassinets. Here are my favorites for a new baby! Keeping in mind, we don't actually have a baby to use any of these products with yet but I have done my research! Promise!

1. Babymel Grace Diaper Bag
This bag is so well reviewed. I'm crazy about the fact that it's not cheesy or boring. Lots of pockets, great durability and my favorite color. Black. Just kidding, maybe...

2. Halo Innovations Bassinet
This is also a really popular baby product lately. Especially for c-section moms. The side of this bassinet folds down so you can scoop that little baby up without having to bend over or get out of bed. It also fits over your bed and has a nursing timer and vibration feature!

3. Comotomo Bottles
We used Tommee Tippee bottles with Gemma and I liked them a lot. I like that these bottles are silicone and they are wide mouth which means I won't be miserable at the sink with a bottle brush for days on end.

Gemma has a muslin quilt from this company and it's my favorite blanket. If they made them in adult sizes we would have ten. They are so soft and so comfy. Gemma has the Summer Poppy print but we are hoping this baby will be a boy so I went with the cute bicycle print here!

5. Chicco NextFit Zip Convertible Car Seat
I'm kind of a Chicco NextFit Advocate. I love this car seat. Even if it is miserably hard to clean. It's still at the top of this years safety lists! The new version has a zipper which makes washing the seat cover a lot easier I've heard! The weight limit is from 5lbs rear facing to 65lbs forward facing. I like the idea of using a convertible right from the start and having to only buy one seat but I don't like the idea of having to wake a sleeping newborn to get him in and out of the seat and into wherever you're going. Chicco makes an infant seat that has the zip out seat cover too and it has awesome reviews. The only drawback is that it's just as expensive as this one. Gemma was a small baby and we used her infant seat for quite a while but I still don't know if that justifies the price for me. Still thinking on this one!

6. Boon Drying Rack
This was something I really wanted my first time around but never managed to buy. It's cute and functional. I like that.

7. Solly Baby Wrap
I had a baby bjorn with Gemma and hated the stiffness and limits of it. It's like you're holding a baby but you're not really cradling them. I really want a soft wrap. I'll definitely be wearing this baby a lot more than I did my first time. I'll need my hands to be free twice as much now!

8. Boppy Pillow
Nursing pillows are just a must even if you aren't going to nurse. They are so useful. I like this bare naked option! Hopefully when we find out what the gender is I will find a cute cover to match the bedding we choose! (Really in love with this option for a boy!)

9. Medela Pump In Style BreastPump
Breastfeeding is always a journey. Having a good reliable pump kept me going when I thought I'd never make it. I think most insurances will cover them now so that's a huge help!

This is something we already have and use but I'll want one just for the baby. It'll be nice to have the necessities handy next to the bassinet in those newborn days and we can always repurpose it in some area of the house later. We use ours now in the bathroom and though it does need to be reorganized weekly it's so useful and easy to access.

In the meantime I'm just over here hoping like hell that this kid will actually look like me! Gemma looked like a blue eyed me for three minutes after she was born. Then the blonde hair came. I'd love to have one that looks like me! Although judging by the way it's gone with Jude, Jaden and Gemma, that's not going to happen! Brandon and Jude are basically twins with a generational gap. Judge for yourselves!

XOXO
Miranda
