Yesterday Gemma told me our baby is not a Kangaroo... she's just a Sister Rue.
I am always telling her to check her attitude because she's a total three-nager these days. I asked her not to paint the table with soggy corn flakes. She told me to "lower my altitude" which I'm guessing is a combination of check your attitude... and lower the volume!
I had my back to Gemma and Rue for a total of three minutes. Rue starts screaming and Gemma runs to me saying "Sorry I stomped the baby Mom!" Really!?
After Sunday School she told me all about how good she was and how she absolutely did not hit anyone. When I told her that makes me think she did hit someone she said "Well, actually I did. but I still got candy..." Great. Just great.
She saw a 'Hello Chopper' in the sky the other day and said "you hear it Mom!? HELLO HELLO HELLO!" She rarely mispronounces things anymore so this one was a real gem!
She knows that Jude and Jaden have a different mommy than her, so she asked Jaden this morning "How did you got two Mom's?! that's so crazy. I can't believe dat."
Gemma was holding Rue when she started passing gas and smiling. Gemma looked at me and said "Mom! I made her smile! I'm so funny. I'm just so funny."
I asked her a million times if she was ready for a nap and she kept saying no, while yawning. Five minutes later she was asleep on the floor in front of the stove. When she woke up she looked around and was shocked that she "slept on the floor like Daisy."
...and the most expressive child award goes to... I swear sometimes her expression makes me question everything I am saying or thinking.
XOXO
Miranda
P.S. No baby sisters were actually harmed in the making of this blog post.
