We're pretty southern around here so everyone we know says 'dadgummit!" Well... Gemma heard that and started using it too or so I thought! Yesterday she dropped her apple in the dirt and said CHICKEN NUGGET!! I died laughing and she was livid.
She calls Chick-fil-A "Chickalay"... It's the cutest thing ever.
Lately she's into pretending she is the Momma and I am the daughter. Yesterday we got into the car to leave and she said "Oh Miranda, you're so silly. You're way too little to drive."
Brandon is forever correcting Gemma when she says things incorrectly. It drives me crazy because she's only 3 and she actually speaks really well... And the cute things disappear so quickly it seems... The other night she said something wrong and Brandon corrected her... I said it again the wrong way and she looked at me, raised her eyebrows and said "Mom, stop that. I'm big now." I wanted to cry and stick my tongue out at her at the same time.
Brandon's parents came to visit this week and I told Gemma "they'll be here tomorrow"... She threw herself on the floor, put her arm over her eyes and said "Mom, tomorrow takes too long..."
And lastly this... There are Justice League Tattoos in Happy Meals right now!!! I asked Gemma where she wanted hers and she said on her shoulder like Papa! I asked her if I could take a picture and she said "look I'm a tough super guy." Yes girl, yes you are! She's growing way too fast... She's always challenging me, challenging my reasoning and I find myself a better Mom because of it. I'm so thankful for this little soul...
