Life Lately

We have really, truly transitioned into the two small kids season of life. My hair is eternally in a bun with a pen or pencil shoved through it, my make up bag goes untouched for days...! They come first and that's not even a selfless thing... that's a who's screaming the loudest, who's problem is easiest to fix thing... I know you can all relate...

We've been soaking up the last days of summer though you all know how ready I am for fall! I almost bought Gemma boots today... Then I had a reality check when I remembered it doesn't actually get cold here until December or January anyways... Bummer. She's loving the sprinkler and playing in the dirt, some of you may have seen this photo on my instagram. Her playing in the dirt is our eternal battle. She doesn't just play in it, she lays down in it, "washes her hair" with it, paints the porch with it... So much dirt. Everywhere. Lots of baths... lots and lots of baths!

Little Miss Rue is almost two months old! As usual the time passes by at the speed of light! She's such an easy baby and I'm really enjoying her. We got a call from her pediatricians office a while back saying that after October they won't be accepting our insurance anymore. I was so disappointed because I really really loved her doctor and I hate to switch to a new one in the middle of all of these monthly check ups but that's life! If anyone has any good recommendations in our area I'd love to hear them!

I thought I'd share a diy I attempted! It was actually a success. I saw a onesie similar to this one and loved it but it was a bit pricey for me! So I searched Pinterest for a tutorial and found this one! I followed the instructions loosely and it turned out pretty cute. Also, it only took a few minutes... Those are the diy projects that I like! I bought the onesie at a resale shop for $.50 and I used an old shirt for the flower fabric. So much cheaper than the one I had originally found!
