The Friday Five on a Wednesday

Things are awful crazy around here y'all! So far this summer we've experienced weeks of false labor, chickenpox, and yesterday a stomach virus that really truly tested our one bathroom decision. Today we woke up to rain, so everyone grabbed their breakfast and got back in bed... I'm not gonna say a thing about it!

The blog has been quiet lately and honestly it's just because I'm exhausted. Sleep has officially come to a halt. Most nights I'm laboring through the night ALL NIGHT. It's the most draining experience of my life, we all know that I'm a pretty big wimp though, I seriously don't know how women do this for months at a time... Today is the beginning of week three and I am feeling completely defeated. Thankfully my family has been so helpful!

Anyways, Moving on! Gemma's 3rd birthday party is this Saturday and I can't wait to celebrate with her. She is enamored with the idea of birthdays and celebrating anything really... She frequently sings Happy Birthday to anyone who will listen and goes on and on about blowing out her candles and sharing her cake...

So in honor of Gemma turning 3! Here are some Friday Favorites on a Wednesday because we've lost all order over here!

1. She's been asking for a Kangaroo for her birthday for six months. When we ask if she means a toy she says "No, a real jumpy one." She'll probably be super disappointed but I found this adorable Kangaroo Family! There's even a baby in Momma's pouch!

We go through these pretty quickly because our dog loves them as much as we do so $2 is a pretty sweet deal. Also, they come in some pretty great colors right now! At that price they'd also make pretty great favors for some little feet attending a birthday party!

3. Funfetti Cookies for when we eventually get tired of leftover Birthday Cake! I've tried so many cookie recipes from Sally's Baking Addiction and have yet to find one that is not life changing. That lady knows her stuff!

5. The Sweetest Ballerina Dolls
I have a soft spot for rag dolls... They're just so much more pleasant than those plastic, creepy eye-balled traditional baby dolls... A lost less creepy at night also...

Sorry for the mish-mash of randomness!
XOXO
Miranda

P.S. Here's an example of baby doll creepiness... and the sweetest sisters ever! Yesterday they had a tea party that lasted for hours! They are enjoying each other so much more this time! It's really really sweet to watch!
