Today we celebrated Gemma's 3rd Birthday! It was so much fun and she was spoiled a ton by everyone, we had delicious cake and plenty of goodies too. So much so that everyone in our house was asleep an hour after we got home! I originally decided on a flamingo theme because she's talked about them so much lately but as party planning time began to coincide with baby-having time I got less and less into the party planning and more into the baby-having which (STILL) hasn't happened yet. So it was a very loosely themed party. She had a great time though and truly that's all that matters to me...
She had so much fun with all of her cousins. I'm loving that they are all getting to the age where they actually enjoy each other now... When they aren't screaming at each other over a toy or a cookie!
I am almost having a hard time believing we just had a 3rd birthday party but Gemma is convinced she's 4. She is turning into the spunkiest, funniest kid I've ever met which is a complete surprise to me. Her personality is exactly the opposite of mine and it truly is a gift to experience a childhood like that. I am so grateful for the gift to my life that she is... Even when she's screaming at three o'clock in the morning because that two year sleep regression thing they told me about came twelve months too late...! (Notice her sleepy eyes in this picture, before the party even started...)
