Things Toddlers Say // Vol. II

A few days ago I accidentally bought greek yogurt instead of plain vanilla. I used it to make Gemma a fruit + yogurt parfait. She took one bite and said... "Um Mom. Why did you put flower cream in dis!?" Apparently Greek Yogurt is a little too strong for her...

Yesterday she took my shirt out of the clothes basket, put it in my drawer and brought another one back and said... "Here Mom. I eschanged dis. You have a big huge circle belly now." Thanks kid.

When we spill something she says it makes the floor "Ice-Skatey"

When we ask her to turn the volume down on her LeapPad she says... "Umm okayyyyyyyy, I will turn the BalYoooooom way down" In the most exaggerated voice ever... and then she hits the button once usually turning it up instead... "I did it, Mom! You're so welcome!"

She answers "of course" to almost everything.... Do you want to take a bath? Of Course! Are you hungry? Of Course! Can I hold you? No, Mom. I'm Big.

She makes this face when we're talking about anything even remotely questionable... to her.

My nephew and I were talking about the baby and he asked to see her "tiny clothes and shoes" so I showed him. Then he asked if I was going to have a boy baby too. I said no, that it's only one baby and she's a girl. He said "Oh, so your belly only makes girl babies!" Guess so, kid!

And today Gemma is on a roll...

This morning she got in bed between us and I asked her how much she loves her Papa and she said "umm... 6 bucks, Mom." That obviously made us laugh. Then I asked how much she loves me and she answered hesitantly with much thought "I love you 4 bucks, Mom." Bummer.

Then this afternoon in the car she randomly told me how great her Papa is and how much she loves him because "he cuts my play doh with a real big guy knife..." Then she talked about him for 15 minutes straight like she hadn't seen him in five years and when I told her he was in his truck right behind us she said with a slight eyeroll, "I know Mom, he's eating his donuts and talking on the phone."

Send help, she's outsmarting me constantly!
XOXO
