Baby Prep

There is a slight chance that this baby could be born on Gemma's birthday! Two summer babies for me! The thing about that is... it's freaking hot in Texas. I wasn't even remotely prepared to handle Louisiana heat with a baby when Gemma was born so this time I'm preparing early!

This little babe will live in onesies and bloomers. I've put together the sweetest collection too! Most of these onesies were thrifted for .50 or 1.00. The bloomers are a little bit more challenging to find. Unfortunately it's not really an item that's sold on its own so I had to get creative and be willing to spend a tad more! The most I spent was $7 for the lavender, peach and grey bottoms above. They're from an amazing etsy shop!

Baby girl has one pair of shoes which is really probably enough but baby shoes are my weakness. So hard to resist! Even though, for a tiny babe they couldn't be less practical!

I have 10 weeks to go until full term and I'm beyond ready to see this kid! I'm still hoping for brown hair! Maybe even brown eyes for my parents! But... Brandon just doesn't have children that aren't blue eyed and blonde headed which is really funny since everyone in my family has dark hair and dark eyes (except for me and my sister. We have mood ring eyes lol)

See my registry here! There's not much practical stuff there because I have been buying the necessities for a few months now. (Things like pacifiers, bottle brushes, towels and washcloths, burp cloths, swaddle blankets and sleep sacks...)

After much serious debate I registered for this diaper bag because it's a backpack and its black! I used a PPB boxy backpack with Gemma and loved it. Seriously not wanting to spend that much this time though! I'm crazy about the Pom blankets from CharleyCharles and I registered for a black + white one!

I'm still loving our Moses Basket! I'm wanting to paint the stand (found on craigslist for $15!) white! That'll be a last minute project if I know us... It's amazing how our living situation has influenced this pregnancy and my state of mind. So many times when someone asks me about baby preparations I find myself feeling relieved instead of anxious. I swear everyone should live in a tiny house or at least try it once in their lifetime. It's made the entire process so much simpler and less stressful for me... They try to sell us so many unnecessary things these days and they totally take advantage of your excitement! Babies'r'us got me with Gemma... I mean it. Got. Me. We had so much stuff... enough stuff for five babies. Now i've been through it I remember what was necessary and what was never taken out of the package. That's valuable info!

Brandon told me that he's finally settled on a name and even though I'd love to know it, I know that the moment he brings her to me and tells me her name will be one of the most meaningful and special introductions of my lifetime! I think it'll be a great story to tell her also...

Yours Impatiently,
XOXO
Miranda
