Life Lately + Random Photos

Friday morning I woke up tired. Gemma was grouchy and asking for a snack bar and a show and I was completely out of it. We'd been going all week long and somehow I managed to tackle 80% of the items on my to-do list! I decided a morning in bed was in order! When the big kids are with us we do this a lot more frequently because they tend to need their space and quiet/alone time. Gemma and I haven't done it in weeks though and it was WONDERFUL!

She wore footy pajamas almost all day and I had about 87 cups of tea. She was so happy and content. It occurred to me she was enjoying my undivided attention. I want to be the kind of mom I was on Friday morning every minute of every day, unfortunately life gets in the way. There are dishes and bills and ballet... and we make do. It all comes down to maintaining a balance I suppose.

Brandon came home Friday night and Gemma was beside herself! She snuggled with him for an hour before bedtime and told me she'd just sleep with Papa... Yeah right, you little rodeo clown! I think not.

She had her first ballet class at the new studio on Thursday and she was completely into it. She was six months younger the last time she tried and the difference absolutely amazes me. She was much more willing this time...

   

We had a 20% off coupon for Carter's so we grabbed those sunglasses and this t-shirt. I'm still crazy about the color blocking thing even though I'm pretty sure the rest of the world is over it.

 

 



We went to the Children's Museum Tuesday and Gemma always has a blast. She was a firefighter/princess for at least an hour! Anyways, enough with my ramblings!
