Pregnant... for 40 years.

I am a new member of the third trimester club but I swear I went to sleep at 28 weeks and 6 days and the next morning I woke up feeling like I've been pregnant for forty years. I am DONE. But the kid isn't so here we go...

You might be in the last trimester of pregnancy if...

1. You are either sleeping like a baby or not sleeping at all. Depending on various factors which could include but are not limited to: what you ate, regret from something you didn't eat, your mood (swings), your pajamas, the temperature of the third toe on your left foot... you get the point...

2. You are pretty positive you have esophageal cancer from the sheer force of the heartburn after you eat or drink anything, even a sip of water.

3. You avoid the scale in the bathroom like the plague.

4. You only want to wear black stretchy clothing or a robe. Or your husbands favorite shirts...

5. Your patience is gone. Gone. Just nowhere in sight and unlikely to ever reappear.

6. You are in full on nesting mode and you can see a grain of sand on your white floors from ten feet away. The conviction to do something about it may or may not manifest.

7. You are hoarding baby items that you are convinced you need. Like a cow teether that this kid won't be able to use for months...

8. You sleep in an ocean of pillows. Probably shoving your poor husband out of the bed or against the wall...

9. You are not sure if you can wait two more months to see this baby but you're also not sure if you are going to be ready in only two months.

10. This.

11. The Braxton Hicks are no freaking joke.

12. You get aggravated everytime you need to pee.

I really think you get to a point during pregnancy where you just have to laugh and attempt to enjoy the ride... So far for me, this second time around has been so different than the first. Obviously the toddler makes a HUGE difference but I've been very blessed to have a pretty easy time and to also have had a healthy pregnancy this far... I'm so thankful for each day that this little babe squirms in my belly and I know how important each milestone is.

Happy Monday to all you Momma's!
XOXO
Miranda
